My tank destroyer collection - As per requested by Tom and also sharing with everyone, Stug III is going to a new home soon.

Tank Destroyer Collection <a href=Tank Destroyer Collection Dscn0710" />

Tank Destroyer Collection <a href=Tank Destroyer Collection Dscn0711" />

Tank Destroyer Collection <a href=Tank Destroyer Collection Dscn0712" />

Tank Destroyer Collection <a href=Tank Destroyer Collection Dscn0713" />

The most interseting shot is the last one as I tried to contrast the relative size of the various tank destroyers

- The HL Stug III looks out of scale. It would be interesting to see if it is the same as the Bandai one. (Is there a Bandai PzIII or is it only PzIV ?)
- The Nashorn and the Dicker Max are both based on PzIV yet the Nashorn looks much bigger.
- JagdPanther is a medium tank destroyer and yet it is larger than the SU-152 which is supposed to be a Heavy Tank Destroyer.
- JagdTiger is only slightly larger than the Elephant so obsession with large tanks started early with the Germans.

The Bandai's are at 1/15th scale. When you look at these pics that Stug looks huge! LOL!

The Dicker Max is on the asiatam lower isn't it? Would be interesting to see a Tamiya PZ.IV for comparison on scale because you are right the Dicker looks small next to the Nashorn which looks about right compared to Jadgpanther, Elefant, and JT

Is one Russian asiatam and one WSN? I always though the WSN was a touch small in scale...

Here's a question.... if you HAD to choose one to battle in historically, which would you chose??

That's an easy question, the JagerTiger!!!!

It was built to take a pounding, so you less likely to die and it would break down before noon, so you would be able to get the rest day off while they fix it!  Very Happy   win-win.

Interesting question......... I think I will answer this with a purist approach and say that the only one in that group that is not really based on a tank platform is the Elephant, although you could agree that it is based on the failed attempt of VK45.01 (P). All the other ones are based on proven tank platform with a more powerful gun than it's tank counter-part.

Well I'd have to go with the SU-100 or Stug... why? They are very mobile and hit hard... if it came down to it I'd rather drive away than run away Wink
