Hey guys just wanting to get the ball rolling. I know myself and few other guys were interested in a road trip to Barrie to check out the many awesome tanks sitting in and around the base. If you haven't been, it's lots of fun & I really want to go back.
I think the general idea was October but chip in your thoughts & lets see what happens!

Since the weather in October is always "iffy", this might be a good substitute for that month's Battleday.

I would leave battleday for Oct. 4th and see if we get a nice fall day to battle outside. Since I am bound and determined to go before it gets too crappy I will be going Oct. 18th. I need to photograph a particular vehicle for an up coming winter project and will need to wear off turkey from the weekend before. If anyone is good with that date let me know and maybe we can car pool part way...

I'd have to check with the "Missus" to see if she has anything plan that weekend, but I don't think it should be a problem for the 18th. Should know for sure next month.

Oh wow what a kick in the butt.. the final 2 reenacting 1812 events for their 200th year anniversaries fall on both the battle day & the 18th... ok I'll see what I can swing here.

you will be missed Ed...
As a side note to everyone the museum is only open 1 to 4 so my plan will be hit the outdoor tank park about 10 do the museum next and then if anyone wants to hit the park again there will still be plenty of daylight. Hit Barrie for supper and off back home...

Well, I approached my wife about Oct. so first we have battleday, then Thanksgiving, then would be visit to Borden, then model show. Did not go over well...
Basically in no uncertain terms I was told pick 2 and that's it soooo.... I pick battleday and model show. Tanks at Borden aren't going anywhere. It may be on a whim trip in November if we see a weekend is going to be nice.

But how did Thanks giving counts against that ? Isn't that a wife thing and not your thing ? Did you give a rat's butt about Thanksgiving ? Unless you have to do it with your side of the family.
You should use your "birthday" card to buy an extra weekend in October.

Going to Rama for Thanksgiving and my birthday with my side of the family. You know, the family that gambles together stays together, isn't that how it goes??? LOL! That's how it counted against me! LOL! So no biggie, will push visit into November or even early spring.

Well, if the weather doesn't improve for the Battlday, we might have to push it to the 18th.

Yep, it looks that way. I don't see it improving this week. So maybe Borden Nov. 8th?
