Work continues on the DBC4.
I was almost going to change the name of this to separate it for the DIY KIT built DBC2., But the sill screening on the boards was already done so the DBC name will remain through the next version
The DBC3 and 4 are factory built, and I have had zero returns. Plug and play make it one of the easiest ways to add a Tamiya standard battle system to a tank.
The DBC4 has servo recoil added and also 4 more sound address triggers to fully utilize the Benedini TBS. All programmable and user definable sound and triggers really give you flexibility when you run the DBC4-TBS combo. The biggest advantage is the flexibility it provides and is not tank specific.
Proudly Designed and built in Canada. Still piggybacks off the RX 18, but in hindsight the problems with the RX 18 aren't so bad.
Here is a Heavy Leopard 2 with metal tracks, wheels and suspension tearing around my back yard with some high torque motors demonstrating the ability of this combo to power a tank.
And here is a finished Canadian Leopard2 on Patrol
This tank still has the DBC3, but I recently changed it to the DBC 4. This will allow switchable Running lights, Brake lights, Siren, flashing strobe, and ambient battle sounds. I am also just finishing a pyrotechnical device that will ignite and blow smoke when the tank has been taken out. Talking about being the favorite target on the field.!!!!!

No. I imported these from the Netherlands and although they sold out fast, they took a lot of work.
You might be better off buying a Heng Long Sherman cover and then modifying that. I think you can pick these up from Mato for less then $10

Wish I knew more about the DBC systems they add cool features that I like. Currently Clark is lagging in sound quality & loudness and I've never gone out of my way to improve it. When are they available?

The DBC3 is available now, but it is an IR battle system, and an encoder for the Benedini sound card.
The DBC4 is probably 2months away from release.
THE DBC3/4 is not a sound system, but it is programmed to make use of the Benedini TBS.
Best thing is to check out my website, and tour around a bit.

Obviously you have not tried or heard the new Clark 6 watt amp.

I have 6 watt and 15 watt amps available as well as I have had some complaints about the Benedini not being loud enough. So once you get these things outside the Clark is not the only board that could benefit from an amp.
Any time you add an amp though you really should be looking for more voltage to supply the amp to make the most out of it. Obviously if you are craving rumbling bass, a 12 volt supply to the amp will make a world of difference. Here is a video of a customer who is using the 15 watt amp with the Benedini.
On 7.2 volts distortion enters a lower decibel level. With 12 volts the Amp is not under powered and can give much cleaner louder sound.

my comment was more aimed at Strato saying the Clark sounds are not loud enough than your post. I won't make any comments on the DBC, as a competitor I feel that would be poor judgement. with regard to the Clark though the 6 watt amp when wired correctly brings all kinds of volume to the table and it is quite clear and discernible. In my opinion it answers anybody that says the Clark does not have enough volume.
If a person wants though there are all kinds of stock amps available from many stores that range from 3 to 30 watts that will run on 7.2 to 12 volts. Power draw is only one part of getting sound that is loud and clean. Cheapest way to increase sound volume is too put 2 taigen speakers in series.

Yes no issue from me, Tamiyas are pretty loud, and that is what people use as a reference, so I have had the same comments about the TBS. That is why we sell amps too
When you put the speakers in series it drops the ohm rating by half, you need to be careful doing this as the amp can be over driven and it will create a lot of heat.
The TBS requires 8 ohm speakers. When I run 4 ohm it really heats up. I have never had one fail, but it gets scary hot.

Not to throw this topic off track, but I got one of these tranny cover from Dan and it worked great.
I get a lot of people asking where I got it, any chance they are still making them?

Sorry Dan and thanks for the link, maybe Stince can repost this in a thread of it's own rather than posting in this one

I'll have to keep my eye out for DBC tanks...
Who's running one locally these days?

I put a 6w amp into my KT with a clark board and if I might say so it is too loud . The clarity and crispness is a noticible improvement .I'll be sure to bring it next meet.
