Hey Guys,
I just got the (thanks for ordering Mike!) new steel gears with bearings same as Jordans. (did yours have bearings Jordan?)
Expensive but nice. Sooooo nice. Note scale speed. Note how quiet. Lithium grease and ready to go...

Are these the four shaft version?
I have the three shaft version and they are very good. Mato 2.0 are very good for WW II tanks as well

Yes, 4 shaft version. Really makes for nice scale speed...

I know the 3 shaft version is very smooth. This is the first set of gear boxes that have allowed a tank to free wheel down a steep hill.
The best upgrade you can make on these tanks is the gear box. I change these out immediately. I have a drawer full of stock Heng Long Pot metal gears. I guess I should ebay them at some point.

Here is a Sherman running the Mato 2.0
And a new Abrams I am working on for a customer using a 3 shaft version all bearinged up. You need the higher speed on this modern tank. Of course I am still a fan of the RX18 and all my tanks still run them.

The red motor ones Dean? Where from?
I really like both the regular all-bearing steel gears from a bunch of retailers, and also the red-motor super-awesome-o-amazing gears from the likes of HobbyRaw, which blast my pershing along at 100km/h

No red motors just regular cans. I think they might be 380's though. Michael ordered them for me through an ali-express site but Hobbyraw was actually a little cheaper with the free shipping so I just ordered a set for my Panther "A" that I am building hopefully finishing this fall...

I get my gears from Hobbyraw as well. Although I see IMEX is importing something similar and they are selling them for $70 US. Might be worth a look.

Those are great videos. I like the scale speed of the Firefly and the Bendeni sound card is very nice too . The M1 has such a great start up , makes me want to turn up the base a little on my sound system. Thx of posting
