I shouldn't have any problems making this one, can't wait to get back on the field again. bounce

I even came up with a new battle game to play that I call "Field Marshal" Twisted Evil

At the last gathering the recoil on Norma's KT was acting up. This week I took a look at it and discovered the plastic gears in the servo had been stripped. Also it had been pointed out to me previously the recoil movement was backwards ( the barrel was spitting out when firing rather than recoiling ). So now the new servo is mounted correctly and the recoil action looks good.
As I was demonstrating this to Norma she happened to mention " you know you are going to your niece's wedding on the 18th "   Whaaaaat? Shocked
Guess we will miss this battle day ,have fun and we'll see you guys next time Sad

In another day or two, I'll start paying close attention to the forecast so we can make a call on the weather and getting the field cut and ready.

Assuming the weather is OK, I plan to get things ready and will be there to open things up and can stay for a bit, but I have a lot going on right now and may not be able to stay.

If I can't stay, I will be back to lock up in the afternoon.

Won't know for sure until closer to the day.

Hey Glen, is it possible to have a rain-out back-up plan inside the community center hall ? However much I would like to play outside, if it is raining it would still be alright to have a chance to play a little inside.

Maybe that is a different "membership" level with the center ?

I am in a similar boat I plan to be there in the morning, and possibly lunch.
I will bring the hot dogs buns and condiments.
Some one else please bring an extra set of BBQ tools.

I will probably not bring my tent ( too much work ) I have to unpack and repack the car then go to my grand daughter's birthday in Barrie then continue on to the cottage near Dorset. ( Packing and repacking is no longer fun at 71, if it ever was)

MikeC.

We are able to hold events indoors and have done so in the winter.

I don't know if we could do it on short notice but could check.

For those that have not been indoors at the Black Creek Centre, the space is smaller than at the venues we have had in Kitchener.

I have sent a question by email to see if the indoor space is available, as a contingency, not sure how it will go but will post what I get back from them.

The weather has now cleared here in Kitchener for Sat. so maybe one more day and it might clear for Ft. Erie too...

Yea, it looks like the system is speeding up so that means originally it said rain all day Sat. now in the morning, give it another day and it all might be concentrated into Friday I hope...

So from what I can see Wayne, Glen, you, me, Jordan, Derek, xxgg, and maybe one other are the only ones up for this?

Don’t forget when the weather says 60% or70% chance for rain, that’s highest chance it will reach for the day (remember there are 24 hours in a day).

It could be 60% chance of rain for one hour out of the day (5 in the morning or noon or 9 at night), but they still call it 60% chance for the whole day.  You need to wait until the day gets closer to when they are able to break the weather down by hour by hour to see the real picture.

It's not only the weather we watch for on Battleday, but the days leading up.  If the weather prevents the field from getting ready it makes it hard.
