| Fellas, because of last nights crap weather and fog my final flight was delayed, and I was still leaving work at 845am. Nodding off during the drive home I wasn't in any shape for coming straight down or even a brief nap, I crashed as soon as I hit the bed.
...but anyway, how did everything go??!? _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - STUG III/G - Panther G* M4A1 Sherman - KV-2 - T-34/85 - M26A1 - SU-76i - M3 Grant..?*

| Understandable about not making the trip with that kind of fatigue. It was very humid which seemed to make everyone slow down more (me, even more than usual). Dean saved the day and showed up at 7:30 to re cut and bag the grass (a hay bailer might have been better ). We had a good time though, Stince set up an interesting time run course, a combination of driving and IR marksmanship, great event. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| It was a tough course, with only 3 participants competing it and 5 tanks failing. Of course, as the course designer, I won! _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| For those who heard the "fire cracker" popping in my Bradley yesterday, I think I might have found out the reason. If Dean is right about some inferior capacitors and I have a freshly charged lipo 2S might have cause the 16v (rated) capacitor to pop its top. Anyway, off to the Sayal now to pick up a 25v rated ones and see if my board has survived.
Lipo 2S in theory is 7.4v and I have seen it going up to 8v +, and since Clark does not officially support lipo of any kind, and if the capacitor is faulty then it is a lethal combination.
Two soldering points for the capacitor so not a big deal. Will you posted.

| Yeah. Apparently it happened to Dean as well. What did you end up doing to the board ? Did you send it to Clark for repair ? I already unsoldered it and will replace it with a higher rated cap and see what happens. |

| Let me know if the board survived Michael, easier to replace the capacitor than send the board back... _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov

| Okay I couldn't find the same size cap at Sayal so have to go with a larger one with the same specs and everything seems to be working...... here is a pic. The old case I just put beside the new one for comparison: " /> |

| Mike, you should've of replaced it with a Flux Capacitor. This way when your tank breaks down you can go back in time to when it was working. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| And then what ? Re-live the firework over and over again like Ground hog day ! Well, I think I did that at the time trial........ :-)
By the way I got confused and thought the rubber piece is part of the board but as it turn out it is part of the old capacitor. I also replaced it with a 25v one which funny enough is smaller than the 16v replacement, still bigger than the one Clark uses but much more professional looking now. |

| Mike I wish I had the skills to do a repair like that. One day, maybe.. I'm just not an electrical wizard.
Were many photos taken? Any new machines make their debut? _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - STUG III/G - Panther G* M4A1 Sherman - KV-2 - T-34/85 - M26A1 - SU-76i - M3 Grant..?*
