IR Emitter Range Empty
PostSubject: IR Emitter Range   IR Emitter Range Icon_minitimeMon Jun 11, 2012 7:41 pm

I was wonder what range everyone is getting with their IR emitters.

For some reason I can't get over 10 feet with my Panzer III and about 5 feet with my Tiger.
It's getting frustrating during battles! Mad

Does having a low battery affect receiving the signal, because the practice target I was using had a weak battery.

Does a low battery also effect the emitters range too?

I seem to recall Tim and I were getting 20 to 30 feet, indoors on tests of newly completed tanks.

I made a couple approx. 20 foot shots at the May meet.

Yes, low battery will cause short range.
It seems as your tv remote controller.

Some of the 'bouncing' you get off hard surfaces is amazing, I was getting hits at 45 degrees off target in my hallway Razz

Outside, you have to be dead on. Range of my tiger, I had a few good hits, and a few long range hits against me.
