Just ordered some upgrade motors for the Panther, servos & continual rotation servo *wink wink*

More parts if you know what to look for, and at $8 shipping, go for it.

Wow my favorite servos (HS-311 and HS-81) for $10 and $13 respectively. Very sweet. 360 continuous servo as well if you want to upgrade to servo rotation.

Yes that's the idea. Although I don't know what gears / belts or what not to make it work.

I did it on all my moderns (M113,Bradley, Leo and ZTZ). You just need to remove the last gear from a Heng Long rotation unit and mount it onto the servo. You can either mount the servo the same position as the old rotational unit on the upper hull, or you can mount it on the lower hull so when you pull the upper off the turret is free to move, just like the real thing:
