Here in the Niagara Region we are going through hobby shop withdrawal syndrome.  Our hobby shop has closed after being open since 1947.  Sign of the times.

That being said, I think it would be a good idea to list all of the good hobby shops that you know of.  So, if you traveling and happened to be in that particular city, you can look them up and go for a visit.   I find myself today, wanting to make a road trip to another hobby shop and it would be nice if we had a list of them so I could choose where I want to go.

So, take a moment and list all of the hobby shops you know of.  Make sure you have their full address, phone number would be good and of course, list their web site if they have one.

Format :

My Hobby Shop
123 Somewhere street
Your Town
555-123-1234
www.myhobbyshop9999.com

Let's get a list going.

There is two I goto all the time in TO:

Hornet Hobbies
1563 O'Connor Drive,
East York, Ontario, Canada
M4B 2V7
www.hornethobbies.com

Wheels and Wings
1880 Danforth Ave
Toronto, ON
M4C 1J4
Canada
www.wheelswingshobbies.com

They are like 5 minutes drive from each other so I always end up doing a double header. There is also an excellent military book and paraphernalia store right next to Wheels and Wings as well.

Skycraft Hobbies! Their focus is on aircraft & cars / buggies, but lots of helicopter parts & all sorts of tools and materials. Never had an issue there & they will take care of warranty issues.

They also carry HengLong stuff, and a few metal upgrade bits but nothing overwhelming.

314 Lake St, St.Catharines (opening.. soon? now? I'm not sure)

115 Plains Rd E, Burlington

this is good for electronic components of all kinds. looks like their web site has a lot of brass stuff and there is 7 location around the GTA. No tanks

Pinnacle hobby
http://pinnaclehobby.ca/
5970 16th Avenue, Unit 114-116Markham, OntarioL3P 7R1
good place to go for aircraft stuff, lots of models, paint but tends to lean towards rc cars more than anything

John's hobbies
http://www.johnshobbies.ca/
2188 Danforth Avenue
Toronto, Ontario
M4C 1K3

a good all around hobby shop that have a large train section

dailey hobbies
http://www.daileyhobbies.com/
185 Thickson Road North

Mainly models and paints with trains mixed in to taking up most of the store

All these hobby stores(not sayal) you can get tamiya or heng long tanks but you have to order them 95% of the time
