| Dean asked me at the December meet what projects I plan for the off season, so I thought I would start a post for everyone to share their plans.
After going almost a year without the use of a hobby bench I'm really behind a lot of projects. Here is my list for the winter in no peculiar order:
Change motor in Tamiya Tiger and minor repairs.
Realign gearbox on Sherman to stop it from throwing track.
Converter old T-34 to SU-85 and install Clark board and new gearbox.
"Special" Panther project - remove SLU and install Clark board.
Install SLU in JadgPanther.
Install Clark board in Elephant and Pershing.
Change pinion gears on KV (in attempt to slow it down) and finish putting on the tools and paint.
Fix power switch and recoil on T-34, plus finish painting.
Fix gearbox on Bergepanzer IV.
Fix and finish Unimog.
I think that's it for now, but sure there is more. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Oh jeez... ok I'll take a shot at a list.
Repair my Pershing barrel.
Swap out Pershing gearboxes to a spare I have.. drive shaft too wobbly.
T-34 overhaul & finish spruce up.
KV Clark board repair, her IR is dead, Jim!
SU-76i IR bulb replacement, shorted the old one out ><
M3 Grant Clark installation, rigging and servo elevation / 75mm gun movement.
Panther Clark installation, same as above...
Tiger overhaul, gears cleaned & realigned.
Panzer IV motor upgrade
Panzer III aesthetic cleanups
Chi Nu Kai wiring cleanup and repair, she's taken an internal beating!
I might order a batch of 10 new normal-sized motors and replace them into my more sluggish tanks. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| My shot at this.
T34 re work radio so everything is not on just the two sticks.
If this does not stop intermittent turret rotation and gun elevation than repair that also
also fix intermittent gun recoil (loose wire)
Finish paint and weathering on King tiger and Clark board install.
Gut Sherman and install clark Board.
Big decision as to converting Sherman to an M10 Wolverine or keep it as is and finnish it what ever I decide. I guess it will depend on if and what parts I can find. _____________________________________________ King Tiger, Sherman. All under construction. Now also T34/85 |
