Next project is after firing two shots, a soldier pops up from the loading hatch with TOWs.........

Jordan will do that when I sell this baby to him.

Hello
I am a new member here, George. I have the same Bradley and I would like to R.C it with the same functions like you have shown.
I don`t know if this has been asked before, Sorry to repeat, would you be willing to make a list of parts used for your R.C conversion and show more internal pictures of the setup?

Thanks for posting this.

Hey George, welcome aboard! I see you're also from Hamilton; that puts you right in the middle of tank action. Don't worry about asking questions it's perfectly alright, the guys here are almost always able to help. If we aren't it's likely due to injury or inebriation.

Mike's Bradley is on a Panzer III lower hull, I dug up his build thread for you.

Hey George, welcome and in addition to the thread posted by Jordan, here are some more shots of the interior:

There is no room in the turret for the TOW servo, but a mini-micro fits perfectly inside the housing.
" />

This is a shot of the 360 servo for the turret rotation. I am mostly after the speed as there is no slip ring for the wiring
" />

A close-up of the backend. You can see the original back end mated to the Heng Long PzIII chassis and also the smoker and the special lipo battery to fit the tight spacing.
" />

The side view. Transplanted all the wheels and sprockets from the static Bradley over to the PzIII chassis except the return rollers and also using the PzIII tracks which works perfectly

One more shot of the interior

Hello Again

thanks Guys for your input and MikeC  thank you for your help. I see you did an M113, can`t believe I have the same thing sitting on the shelf with hopes of R.C ing it also. Any tips for that one as well?

I`ve sent a message to MatoMart to see if they have scrap PIII lower chassis for sale. To be determined

George, I couldn't paint or weather myself out of a paperbag, so I ended up doing more eclectic builds..... Bradley, M113, M48, Comet, Maus.......  My M113 was already RC (I have the RC version). I just replaced it with a Clark board and all the electronics. I sold it to Hach who had since done an amazing job in changing it into a Cdn Army M113. If you have a static M113 then it will be quite some work, and you won't be able to use Heng Long gearbox. You will need either the Heng Long 1/24 or Vs Tank 1/24 gearbox instead for the M113. Couple of us did the same thing with the 21st Century Sdkfz 251 half tracks.

I don't think Mato sells chassis....... You can try Aliexpress and see if it make sense $ wise. Sometimes it might be cheaper to buy a whole tank since you can salvage all the parts.

Here you go.. you can probably toss together enough parts to get a running lower hull for under $100

http://www.matomart.com/product.php?page=5&c=1000071

Hint, click the link again after selecting "Canada"

Hello Again

Thanks for the replies. Yes MikeC, I have a 1/24 motor gearbox in my pile. Also Thanks Strato50 for the link BUT I have a question. Since I don`t have enough experience with running r.c tanks, what ALL parts do I need from Mato for my HL PIII, I know I need a motor gearbox BUT does that lower chassis have ALL the suspension? I know I need tracks and drive gears also PLUS the Electronics later.

A list from that link would be a Great help. I would like to use it to convert my Bradley like MikeC did.

Thanks Again For ALL the Help.

 George

George, you will need the chassis with the suspension arms, running gear and tracks. You should be able to mount the sprockets and road wheels onto the PzIII chassis, and you will be keeping the rear end of the Bradley with the original idlers:

Tracks:
http://www.matomart.com/prodview.php?p=2607
Chassis:
http://www.matomart.com/prodview.php?p=2571
Gearbox:
http://www.matomart.com/prodview.php?p=565

This will run you about $90. If you buy a whole tank it will be $140, all based on Matomart cost. Considering that you can in theory use the stock electronics to run it (no servos) it might be more cost effective to buy a whole tank. Sometimes you might be able to find older versions of the PzIII from Heng Long for $100-$120 at Flea markets/eBay etc.
