PostSubject: magnets smokers and metal upgrades...   Sat Jan 30, 2016 8:54 pm

Hey Guys,

Bud has asked me to post about the above subject. Please feel free to add to what I have here...

Here are the small wafer magnets I use for lots of things hatches, side skirts, etc... pick your supplier:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=5mm+x+1mm+magnets&_sop=15

Here is the heavier ones I use on the upper hull. You can just screw them into the posts using the screws and then glue a wafer in the lower to attach.

Or you can use these thicker ones in the hull

Great news on the TARR smoker. You can now get it proportional! I just received mine to test...

Metal upgrades, well really, just pick your poison Bud. Depends on the Tank. I think you were looking for Bulldog or was it Pershing?

Anyway Mato is probably your best bet... Pick your tank...

you can also just search e-bay...

the magnets i used on my panz IV came from Sayal. made by MAGCRAFT and are 6.4mm dia. and 2.5mm thick.they work great since they are the same size as the screw head. you will need to cut the post down to get the upper hull to sit flush with the bottom

What about power switches?  Anyone know to get ones better than the Heng Long ones?

I am trying to use nice little toggle switches I picked up at a local electronics shop. Won't be switching all of mine over but a lot of them....

I just ordered 20 more of these ones. Price and shipping can't be beat. I just build a little box to hold the under a hatch and viola, power and smoker switch...
