Hi all,

Want to show off my first IBU2 board, a used board that I managed to burnt and had to be sent back to Italy (via England) for repair and is back now, along with a new one I ordered from UK. It will drive my Sherman Firefly (featuring the amazing upper from Dean). As you can see, the foot print is twice the size of a Clark board, as well as the price. I will be playing with the settings over the next couple of days and will bring it out next week at our Father's Day Weekend Battle Day I guess.

Just some initial impression, the separate sound files selection is somewhat liberating when compared to the fixed sound set of the Clark board, but found out very quickly that you are only as good as the original sound file, so the option to pick is great, but the quality of the sound files is a little uneven. I guess Clark when programming the sounds files can find the best and maximize the quality. As an example, the Sherman sound file of the MG cannot be heard basically when the engine is running.

Momentum is much more pronounced on the IBU2. It takes 1/2 second to get the tank going, and it will travel almost a full tank length to stop. Unfortunately I don't believe this is adjustable. Tank travel is much more realistic than Clark board, and the turret elevation, rotation and recoil are all parameter driven which means they can be adjusted to your liking.

The last big thing is that there is two on board fuses, one for the motors which is 10A, and one is a SMD 2 amp fuse for the fine electronics.

That's a snug fit in there. I don't recall anyone using an IBU, and the main thing keeping me back for now is that cost. It'll be nice to see one in action Razz

Here is the first run, momentum is turn on. It doesn't seem to apply to turns but definitely on superspin. reload indicator is one flash which is a nice feature. No motor movement untill engine is started. Turret function is available all the time.

Yes and I even waited for parts (2 weeks) from Mato. No plan on selling it for now. Just a basic coat of green primer. Barrel is the metal 17 Pdr BB version I got off Mato. Will bring it out next week along with my Clark fitted Challenger in desert yellow along with the Comet. All British.

That's the one feature I loved about the old SLU units.
I wish the Clark boards were like that, it would eliminate the running silent ninja tanks on the field. Suspect
