IR battle unit
Per discussions on Saturday here is where I have purchased a lot of my battle units.
Comes with base plugin and emitter
Works on anything I have. (Tamiya, Clark, Taigen, SLU, Hooben)
Battle unit alone will not fit the Tamiya base ( Comes with own base) but plug in fits.
Many more items on site that I have used.

So the IMPACT apple unit will not fit onto a Tamiya base? Does that mean that the Clark aftermarket bases need to be trimmed or altered to have a positive seat? (I have heard the connection is the same, just a physical size difference of the unit which is the source of interference.)

The only thing that doesn't fit between the Impact and Tamiya/Clark mounts is the alignment bump on the base and apples. They can be easily modified to fit each other, the wire set up is the same.

As I say in my post  the base supplied will replace the Tamiya base and the plugs are interchangeable.
I have 4 Tamiya's all with impact base and unit.
