11.1 voltage for rc tank Empty
PostSubject: 11.1 voltage for rc tank    11.1 voltage for rc tank Icon_minitimeMon Aug 29, 2016 9:36 pm

Is there anybody using 11.1 voltage to run there tanks ? Upon reading few older posts on uk forum , a few of them say they do , but didn't say on the boards they use , be it a tamiya, SLU , asp , IBU, or clark , just wondering if I can run voltage thru a clark , I'm saying a lipo 11.1 , 3s , fast discharge, as a newbie I'd love the horsepower gain but not burn a board out , most of my primary tanks are Clarks , any answers would be helpful , thanks

yes you can. i tried both tamiya and clark. make sure to add extra heat sink to the board.

I'd be very careful with this, they tend to run hot enough on summer days anyway. I know Mike love's his LiPo but I'm even hesitant to run them compared to the regular 7.2v NiCad / NiMH

IBU will support 3S lipos. I have burnt enough clark off freshly charged 2S lipos that I am convinced you cannot use 3S with them. Besides, their specs is 7.2v so there is no reason to plug a 3S into them.
