| I need to get some grease for my next tank build. I'm looking for a non-spray grease, that's plastic friendly. Does anyone have any suggestions they can recommend? _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| I think I got it from Canadian Tire, but it doesn't show on their web site inventory. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| I use a synthetic grease that has no effect on plastics. _____________________________________________ My Tanks <<== Click hereCan-Am Tank Club <<< Web site linkTiger I | King Tiger | Panther G | PzIII | PzIV | Stug IV | SturmTiger | Pershing/Howitzer | M16 Halftrack | M26 Super Pershing | M48 Patton | M41 Bulldog | Gepard | Leopard | KV-1 | KV-2 |T-34 | |

I think I'll pop over to Canadian Tire this weekend and see what they got. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| I use regular 3in1 oil on bushings and bearings, and Lubriplate white grease on the gears. Super smooth. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Hi, you don't need special grease. "Vaseline" is the best choice! |

| Actually Vaseline is not so great. It breaks down to almost liquid in heat. I once made the mistake of using Vaseline when building a bicycle years ago. In the heat of the summer, it literallty ran out of all of the bearing cup surfaces.
I would not be a fan of using vaseline...so many synthetics that will far exceed any of our needs out there.

| I just happened to be reading the applications section of our literally dozens of types of aviation grease / lube here at work... and was reminded of this post! Lubriplate 130A-AA is specifically designed for open gear, medium temperature applications. Its sticky, and manages to STAY on my motor pinion gears. I've lubed up my various 4:1 gearboxes with this stuff and theyre still thick with nice, gooey grease http://www.lubriplate.com/Products/Multi-Purpose-Greases/100-130-Series.aspxIt's petroleum based so I'm not sure if it's plastic safe. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT
