| Looks really nice especially with the IR gear. You should put an emitter in the cupola one . The Panther F is an even better looking tank than the G which is saying something. Nice to see the Panthers coming back strong. Is that 3 Panther F owners now in the club? |

You need a rain guard though......... :-) Oh hell no, I’m not that talented That is Dean built and painted; kudos to Dean. Your Panther has a beautiful camo job as well! I can probably build the rain guard but I could never colour match that |

| Mitch the paint matching is easier than you think. I had the same misgivings about it when I decided since I had ordered the zimmerit kit from Taigen with the old zimmerit i had pulled off the turret I would get rid of that ugly notch on the front where the hulls meet on the Tigers and Sturmtiger that they didn't put the zimmerit on and on the very lower front and rear sections where Taigen didn't apply it. As long as you do your base priming and the yellow on the guard before you apply it matching the green and red lightly dabbing with a brush and then dullcoting it and do some weathering pastel and you won't even notice. Dean can tell you the paint he used. Not sure of the red brown but Tamiya Field Grey will do the green It blended flawlessly. Here is an image of the fronts of the 2 Tigers with the 5mm wide strip added and I haven't applied the last bit of weathering to make them blend even better. Sorry about the upside down image but I didn't win the image hosting lottery today |

| Jesus Christ, I am not dead! LOL! I can colour match the rain guard of course. I didn't put one on because it interferes with elevation. _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov

| Hey Dean, how does the rainguard interfere with the gun elevation?
Is it because the rainguard is too thick? If so, can it be dremeled out to eliminate interference? |

| There is no rain guard . Never was one. They have to be scratch built _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov

| It doesn't. The elevation only goes up to the top of the mount on the turret, so if you bend a copper piece along the turret mount it will be level with the top of the elevation. The shape is a little tricky, I tried three different pieces before I got it right.
Martin is right, colour match is not difficult especially if it is weathered. If you get the Tamiya weathering kit and use the same base colour (green/yellow/brown) and brush it on you will not be able to tell. |

| Hmmm, I guess I could make one; did the original design have it?
Or I could not bother... |
