Saturday, June 24th, 2017 The New Kitchener Field
Set up begins at 9:00am. Last salvo is fired at 4:00pm
Welcome to the first official outdoor Battleday for the new Kitchener Field.
Location of the field can be found here: www.waterloorodandgun.ca
Don't forget to bring tables and chairs if you have them.
* Please watch the forum for any changes.*Please let us know if you can or can not attend!

| For anyone interested we will be out Friday night to set up and fool around and will be working and playing on the field Sunday as well. To that end if anyone has field props like old Christmas trees, buildings, 1/18 soldiers, bridges, etc... you would like to donate to the operation it would be much appreciated. Please remember! If you did not join the KW Garrison for your membership to the KW Rod and Gun Club there will be a charge of $20.00 for you to come out! And anyone reading this who has not made a Tamiya compatible tank you are still more than welcome to come out and drive around... We have access to a BBQ but to make life simpler we are thinking pizza for lunch. The local joint makes a nice Hawaiian...

| Because of the field we have designed rain in the few days before a battleday will not affect us. The field is designed to drain and dry quickly so this weeks forecast we should be fine. It is calling for a nice sunny day Sat. and not too hot. There will be R/C planes flying all day as well including the foamies battling it out my favourite!

| Well guys even my field may not be able to withstand the biblical deluge we are experiencing this morning. I am going to check the field this morning and after work and will let you know the condition tonight so you can decide. I will probably be there tomorrow anyway even if just to work on things...

| I'm going to show up tomorrow with my monsters, but will likely not have any armour with me. I'll bring the camera though...  Dean, Swivels have come in as well, so I'll bring those. |

| So first, since tomorrow may be a bit of a gamble no fees for non members.
So dropped by this morning and the river works very cool! LOL! The rest of the grounds are soaked but actually fairing pretty well. No big pools and the run off area I envision is working well. I am going out to do some work after regular work today so will report around 8 or 9 tonight.
Ed, saw your screening set up! Awesome this will make covering the field much quicker! Thanks for building that!
Yes Mike, if we wanted to I'm sure we could use the small hall just to run around shouldn't be a problem so come out and we can go from there...

I wanna see some images of the river! Obviously the drainage is very very good, otherwise you'd have a huge lake... |

| Here is the album of images! Great work on the field with over 1/2 the field roads laid out and with the city arranged. Some select images: Never threaten the roller of doom!  The first track casualty of the field... And it was not due to rocks in the tracks... FYI...  A pair of Tigers on he prowl on the inaugural match on the KW field.  How the field looks with 1/3 of the roads laid out.  Roads 2/3 laid out... Plus a bunch of props.  The road circles the airstrip and the back edge of the field barrier (poles)  More images in the album linked in the first line of this post.
