| Yup. They are transitioning out of their own electronics and will be using Clark in the future so the manual is a little screw up. Also with the change in the new plastic molds some parts are labelled wrongly or simply does not exist. Otherwise it is all out of the box. Probably closest to a Tamiya kit if there ever is one for under $500.
The ARTA kit comes with recoil unit, rotation unit (not documented as they still have the old servo rotation unit in the manual), metal gearbox/sprockets/idlers. I ordered the metal tracks extra and also refitted a TBU in the commander's hatch. All the lights are LED ready, and they even have something place for the IR emitter to be placed in the big spot light.
I never did get the 1st and last road wheel secondary suspension to work. It just pulls the wheel up and there is not enough weight for the remaining roadwheels to bring the tank leveled. So I just removed it for now. That was really the only strange part about the whole thing. I would be interested to see another one up close (If Wayne shows up in K/W this Saturday as I think he is the only other member that has one).
Just realized I also forgot to blue the tracks. Will do that before Satruday. |
