Here is my mod so far. In under an hour....... ESC installed, replace battery plug with standard JST 2 pin, servo steering, headlights running off the receiver, mapped to my Turnigy radio. This truck is like Lego I tell you........ Next step is to take apart the donor truck and extend the rear with the front axle to make a 6x6.

If you guys are looking for some sound but don't want the Clark board for it, you can try using this from Bang Good.

Okay here is the 6x6. No other parts needed other than the donor truck. Will work on the new bed this weekend. Also a short video..........

Good job Mike! Is motor strong enough to run 3 axles?

It will run but no idea how much load it can carry or pull. It is just a 130 motor with plastic gears. Really more a proof of concept build.

Extended bed made from strategically cutting the two single beds and combining them. Also modded the wheel well so now it works with the two rear axles and also act as mud guard now.

No not outside. Just inside which doesn't tell you much. All I can tell is that it runs, and all 6 wheels spins. The servo steering is much better than the stock motor gearbox. If tomorrow if nice I will bring it outside for a spin, but no rough terrain around here to speak of.

Do these trucks have slip differentials? I just wonder if adding that 2nd axle will affect turning much.

No slip differential. It is basically a toy so probably can't tell the difference. I am just glad all the wheels are spinning........  :-)
