Take it out of the battery port on the receiver. Put the ESC into the throttle channel.

Channel 1: Steering Servo
Channel 2: ESC (Throttle control)

You do not need a Battery hookup when using an ESC.
The +ve and -ve from the ESC power the receiver.

Yeah just make sure the ESC is not plug into the Battery/Binding port on the receiver and you will have power and good to go. You can then choose whatever channels you want for steering and throttle.

i think i wrecked the servo it came with when i glued it in some glue must have got inside Sad
lucky i have some servos around to replace it

fitting everything under the hood is lots of fun...lol did any of you glue your tires to the rims they come off a lot if you move the truck to the side when working on it

Just take a binding plug, cut the wire in the middle, move one of the contact to the middle and wire it up to the receiver. Basically you are using the + and - from one of the receiver port for the lights.
