The CAN-AM RC Tank Club is a group of remote control tank enthusiasts that meet together to run our tanks on a miniature battlefield and conduct simulated battles using Infrared combat systems.
I have constructed the Barracuda Sun Shade ( With wifey's help on the sewing machine), added two of the 4 whip antennaes, and the SAF M3 and a 50 Cal. ( 50 Cal's were not common but were used on occaision when backing up a planed long term house clearing mission)
The Barracuda camo covering will cover most of the tank when done.
The whole tank has been painted a dirty sand colour so when there are joints in the camo cover cover it will look like sand etc.
It was used to reduce the heat transmission thru the steel shell and sandy camo was an unexpected by product.
Most Canadian Leopards were not camo painted they just let the local dirt pile up as natural camo.
I also have installed under bottom armour for better protection from IED's. ( That is what the M stands for )
I have included 2 pictures from Afganistan showing what I am trying to build.

The Barracuda camo covering is quite difficult to be created and attached to the surface. I saw some pictures on the new Leop2. It is only painted one single green color.

I love the Leopard 2, such a good looking and powerful tank.
I can say, I've never considered working on the BOTTOM of any of my tanks, very cool!

I am currently working on the internals ( Transmission and engine drive ) I was missing a couple of gears in the trany and was delayed a couple of weeks. Being at the cottage has also slowed me down.
I expect to be at them battlefield on Saturday.
See you there
