| Well, I`ve begun painting... it`s turning out very nicely! I mixed about 3 parts `ocher yellow`with 2 parts `real brown`and one part white acrylics. Nice tan colour emerges. Still hunting for some detailed British units in North Africa that used the M4A1 76mm. I`ll keep digging. So from this.. Into this! Im pretty happy so far. Mechanically, SLU, Mato 3:1 2.0`s, and stock tracks. Used the airsoft barrel, as it is pretty much the same size and shape as the 76mm. More pics to come _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| I like the colour, but shouldn't it be more yellow. Did you put a casting effect on the hull? It looks like there is in the picture. - Strato50 wrote:

| Derek, I did use the surfacer a little bit. Also my method of painting adds some really nice texture too.
I use a fairly stiff painters art brush and dab the entire surface, so no brush strokes. It's very effective.
In certain light and at certain angles I can almost see the yellow coming through! What I really want is some nice rusty Testors enamel paint, that stuff works wonders. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

Have you decided if you are going with British or Canadian markings yet? _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| I took out the 'fancy' digital cam for some detailed pictures. You can see where I got lazy! I might just do the underside of the hull in mud or dirt brown, it worked nicely on my PnzIII. M2 machine gun, was fun to paint something like this. Some of the casting effects, mix of Mr Surfacer & painting. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

Africa with this colour, as far as I know. Unless some units made it into Italy with the desert tan... I know at least one South African unit did! _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Awsome! We'll be the first club to field an all Canadian Sherman platoon. And I even found out why my emitter wasn't working. I had it plugged into the apple backwards. But it's firing now! _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Last battle meet, I powered up my sherman, and it was a dead duck. Did a little troubleshooting, narrowed it down to the SLU board itself acting up. I couldn't get it to do squat.. funny enough the ESC is fine on it. When I last put the sherman away, it was fine.. I really have no idea why the board quit. I could sometimes get sounds out of it, never any motor drive.. it would randomly start turning the turret or engage a single track.. then stop. Ke is looking at it now, I hope to have it back soon. It'll probably go into a NEW sherman _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| That's weird! I use to have a problem with my Tiger, the turret would start turning on it's own, but it only did it on Battledays. Turns out when I would turn it on, it was picking up other frequency from other members. After I rebind it, it's been find. Hopefully Ke can fix it, you did say you wanted to build a Grizzly. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger
