| Plan to de-chrome it a little more. Jack has done most of it very nicely already. The SLU will have to stay for now and it is not half bad. Already got it going with my standard tank control on my Turnigy 9XR. The trailer I want to do something different, maybe with a 1/10 crawler winch as the main mechanism. Jack has a very ingenious worm gear set-up but it won't go all the way up so will have to figure something out. Maybe a combination of the worm gear and the winch for the final pull.
Towed the heavy (all metal M36B1) just fine on flats. Almost too fast. Probably in 3rd gear or something. |

| Very nice! But yes, too much chrome for a military truck. _____________________________________________ You may be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper! - Death

| Put some more additions to Jack's already amazing trailer. Decided to keep the worm gear set-up he has, but has a manual lock latch hold to pull the ramp up to an almost 90 angle. This one is a little more interesting. Jack has a DPDT switch originally for raising and lowering the ramp. I decided to use the same switch, but added a SPDT switch at the bottom and wired the 1/10 scale winch into it, so the original switch controls either the ramp or the winch, depended on the position of the second switch. I don't have any rolling chassis to try out the winch, as it has to be fairly narrow (i.e. Sherman's or Pz IVs). |
