PostSubject: Taigen tank to Clarktk22 board   Sat Jul 28, 2018 1:27 pm

So far I have the motors working sound turret traverse Machine guns working.
I can't see to get the recoil, elevation, and Gun flash working and how can I tell it the IR transmitter is working?
I have the Panther G and put the Tamiya Apple in it and that seems ok
I am using the original recoil and elevation from the Taigen kit
Thanks
Tom

you have to look through you phone camera to see the emitter flash not sure if you have to be filming but you can't see it with the naked eye

well I seem to have the recoil working now but the BOOM comes after the gun has finished the recoil cycle
I have the barrel flash wired correctly red to battery + black to battery - and strobe to strobe but no flash (maybe has to do with the boom at the end of the cycle ) the elevation still isn't working right not sure if it radio set up.
the machine guns fire engine starts motors

They are JST-GH 1.25mm connectors. I have a few coming from Ebay.

Tom, one thing you can also try is to see if the flash port that uses the small connectors are also doing the same thing (i.e. flashing after recoil). Also, the flash unit does take time to charge up so if you are firing continuously it might not be able to charge up enough to fire.

If you talking about J3 port I don't have any small connector to plug in to try.
do you know why the gun sound doesn't come until after the recoil cycle is done

Probably the same problem you are having with the flash. Your flash is out of sync with the recoil and so is the sound. This is not an adjustment on the board, so if everything is correct than there is probably some problem with the board itself. I assummed you have the recoil servo set-up correctly ?

Coincidently I am working on this same problem. I've got the flash plugged into CN3 and it works properly. Bright as hell too outside the barrel! I found this video that for an Open Panzer board that should help some but it does not work directly with the Clark TK22 I am using.
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFB5zhplN2Q
From that video I have gotten the recoil motor to run but havn't gotten the limit switch to recognize. In the pics below, I've wired the recoil motor into a spare servo connector and have it plugged into J2. I am only using the + and -. I need to get a three wire servo connector and am going to try adding the signal wire in respect to how the video wired it.
Elevation motor is also working but I don't like how it is controlled. Half down and half left on the left stick. It is plugged into the aux distribution board that feeds the CN9. I may try wireing it into a servo connector and trying J4.
Cheers

every thing worked prior to installing the clark board so all the solder connections should be ok on the boards that were on the tank
