PostSubject: Fort Erie, August 11, 2018   Sat Jul 28, 2018 7:56 pm

The next meet is scheduled for Aug. 11, 2018.

Start is at 09:30 although some of us will be there at 09:00 to open things up.

Since we have had some new folks show up at the July Meet to check things out, and for our long term members, since we are making some minor changes, here are some details;

- Dues, we ask people who want to participate, and have not paid for 2018, to be prepared to fill out a membership form for the Black Creek Community Association (our host) and pay the $25.00 annual fee (the entire fee goes to the Black Creek Community Association, we do not keep any of the money)

- Facilities, we have the use of the building including washrooms and a kitchen where perishables can be put in a fridge in the kitchen, as well as use of a propane BBQ.  There is ample parking near the field.  We do have the use of folding tables from the club building but suggest you bring folding chairs.  It is hot an sunny in the warmer months, so bring hats, water, sunscreen etc.

- Food, this the change, we have decided to ask everyone to bring the type and quantity of food that the wish to have for themselves to the meet.  (there are no take out food facilities really close to the field)  If your food requires cooking, the propane BBQ is available for us to use.  If you wish to bring something to share, that is fine, but not expected.

This is a return to the way we used to handle things; it is difficult to know who and how many are attending and we can't expect people to keep donating food, and have the appropriate quantity on hand for the number that happens to show up, so this is why we have made this change.

- Tanks, our main activity is Infra Red Battling and this requires equipment that is compatible with Tamiya Infra Red Systems.  However, if your tank is not Tamiya compatible and you want to join, we have no problem with you driving your tank on the field, and there are usually people available to discuss Infra Red systems, if you want to check into it.

Field Conditions, it is a grass field, we make every effort to cut is as short as the equipment will handle, and clean up the grass clippings in order to provide the best operating surface we can.

We will hope for good weather for Aug. 11th and the days leading up to is (so we can get the field ready).

Please watch the forum for updates, we hope to see some of our regulars, and new friends, there.

We are good to go for the meet on Sat., Aug 11, 2018, 09:30 start.

Tonight (Thurs.), dougjobe and I got the field ready, it is in very good shape with the grass short as it can be cut and the grass clippings have been swept clear.

Saturday forecast is very good.

Please remember these items;

Dues, we ask people who want to participate, and have not paid for 2018, to be prepared to fill out a membership form, which we will have available there, for the Black Creek Community Association (our host) and pay the $25.00 annual fee (the entire fee goes to the Black Creek Community Association, we do not keep any of the money)

Hope to see some old friends, and some new ones, too  Very Happy
