| So this was my 2nd Aquino with the Can-Am R/C Tank Club. Last year was good, this year was better, both in the weather and the field. I made this thread so that we can all post our images/albums of the event here. Many thanks to all who came out. Thank you very much to Old Dean! (New name!) and Ed for all the props and to all that helped prep the field for everyone to run over trees/poles/other tanks/etc... Many thanks to everyone who came out and helped show off their tanks. I have to D/L all the images from my Camera but will then link a couple images and the album. I came out with 5 working tanks and 1 to build... I left with 2 working tanks one of which was the one I built. |

| Thanks to everyone who came out for Aquino weekend! For those of you in the club that have not been it is the premier tank show in Canada and probably top 5 in North America for armour. Everyone should try and get out next year. I know of at least 3 more members who are planning on making it next year Thanks to my KW Garrison partners in crime Ed & Norma for bringing the trailer so we could have the really nice field set up. And of course all the help with everything else too! Thanks to Chris for coming up from NY early Friday with his mower so he could help me give the battlefield a haircut and a shave and help with all the set up and teardown. Thanks to Big Mike and Russell for doing a LOT of talking to the general public both days and their help with the set up and teardown. Thanks to Big Mike's wife Karen and the 2 boys who helped out a lot on the detail work of the set up all 3 days and the tear down. Thanks to Ren for programming my cheapie radio to make it easier to drive my old Sherman and for coming out Saturday. Thanks to an old face Frank, Captain Action who came out, made me spend money, but brought along a pile of little toys to give to the kids. Thanks to young Dean for bringing out his beautiful 3D printed Russian T35 and his help in tear down and set up too! I know the next time we see you in Waterloo you will have an IR tank! And of course not to be out done MichaelC who brought his big boys to show and wow people. He also helped with the setup and did a lot of conversing with people which from all of you is much appreciated. And I sent him home with a big box of radios! Lastly thanks to my wifey Anita who came out this weekend and ran her Desert Pink late 42 Sherman all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday and actually turned into quite a good driver and battler! And especially thanks to her for endlessly putting up with all my tanking stuff....I will post some pics and a video later tonight... _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." | It was a wonderful weekend for Norma and I . I wish more could experience the club comradery and the museums' offering. They had a number of German WW2 amour , yes real deal. And what a great show the museum put on in the battle the field. BTW the German re-enactors were making use feel very welcome as well . Checkout Norma practicing her Grenade throwing skills. |
