| Wow my favorite servos (HS-311 and HS-81) for $10 and $13 respectively. Very sweet. 360 continuous servo as well if you want to upgrade to servo rotation. |

| Yes that's the idea. Although I don't know what gears / belts or what not to make it work. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| I did it on all my moderns (M113,Bradley, Leo and ZTZ). You just need to remove the last gear from a Heng Long rotation unit and mount it onto the servo. You can either mount the servo the same position as the old rotational unit on the upper hull, or you can mount it on the lower hull so when you pull the upper off the turret is free to move, just like the real thing: " /> |

| Welcome Terry........ There are a number of sources depended on price range and whether you want to build from kit. Kits would be the standard 1/16 Tamiya's, and ready built you can get from Heng Long, Taigen and Torro brand.
If you are only looking for RC tanks and not too concern about club battles, then all of these options would work for you. If you are looking for Club battle, you will need to get Tamiya Battle System, which comes standard with Tamiya tanks, but you will have to mod the others (Change electronics) to get them to be Tamiya compatible.
Motors and stuff I usually goto the local RC hobby shop. Servos are eBay for sure. Specific tank electronics will depend on what you preferred. |
