| The news that day also showed the actual bullet. Anyone recognise what type it was or gun used to fire it? |

From the look, it is likely a surplus 7.62x39 Steel Core. My guess is from an SKS. If we had mass and dims... |

| 7.63x39 I use for my SKS. Once again, I promise it wasn't me! And correct me if I'm wrong, but police investigations are that much different there that they are not using gloves for evidence? _____________________________________________ You may be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper! - Death

| Chris, that's only on TV.... something wrong with that pic... it went through a window and then didn't hit anything? That round is not deformed at all! | I had that thought as well. It is like a "Where's Waldo?" pic for interesting stuff. We are not the sheep. But more and more we have to fight the sheep. _____________________________________________ You may be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper! - Death

| It was one of the houses in the first row from the main road there, they gave the name somewhere but I forget.
Yea even an 7.62x39 travelling that far wouldn't deform on the glass or wall, it's not moving 'very' fast! _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| As an apprentice I worked at a metal shop on the fringes of Kitchener. Then developers built town houses across the street. After a year of home owner's complaining about the noise the shop was forced to close up.
I wonder, have there been any complaints regarding the noise from the range? |

That's some pretty impressive analysis, and using Excel you say. It doesn't take into account curvature of earth or wind yet... Maybe someday. Spreadsheet here |
