| I plan to check the field, this weekend and will report back.
i expect the field will need cutting and will work out, between weather and scheduling, whether it will be done on Wed., Thurs. or Fri. evening. I prefer cutting it closer to the meet, on Fri., all things being equal. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Checked the field at 10:30, Sat. April 20th It is slightly soft but not what I would call wet. If we get some good drying weather and not a lot of rain in the next week, we should be in good shape. The field will need to be cut, "groomed" and generally tidied up. The grass is starting to grow in this area, not heavy yet but present field conditions will be marginal, without cutting. Here are some pictures; Typical grass conditions, today; General view of the field Road condition _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Lincs Winks Wayne and I prepared the field tonight, it is cut and hand trimmed. We did not have power at the barn for the electric weedeater, though We will need to charge the tank batteries from the main building, since the plugs are not live at the barn. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| What a great day! The new tank commander Norma and her new King Tiger stormed the field and ( with the guidance of other commanders ) managed not to be the first tanker taken out .She commented that next time she will have be more prepared with training from me. This made a few guys laugh since i'm not exactly top gun We also missed Greg and Ian ,see you guys next time. We met Tom and his very nice family who showed off the amazing RC transporter My fav Tiger I threw a track right off the start but thanks to Frank driving the pins out and Jordan with replacement tracks it got to the battle field . We too took some pictures which I'll post. Again well worth the drive for a day of RC fun |
