| Hello, New here and wanted to say hello. After 25+ years of admiring Tamiya tanks online I finally have the time and a healthy credit so I am considering a leap into the hobby. I have been looking at Torro tanks and wondered if anyone on here has imported a 'pro' model from Germany, and if so, how much your import fees etc. from DHL were? Thanks and hope to meet you guys on the field someday  |

| Welcome! If you get into Tanks as much as a lot of us do, your credit will be the least of your worries. Ha haa. One item to remember is the sky is the limit. All base model tanks have good and bad attributes. You will find customizing and making your tank original extremely satisfying. Even more so when you win a battle.  As for knowledge there is quite a bit here. Feel free to ask. Torro makes a good product. You will need to make a few modifications to almost all new tanks to make them IR battle compatible with the system we use. We use the Tamiya Battle system. Hope to see you on the field someday. | Welcome to the forum and the addiction!
I know that Flitecraft in Kitchener/Waterloo has a couple Taigen tanks... |

| Thank you all for your messages, they are much appreciated. I'd always wanted to build a Tamiya since I first saw one in the 80's, but since I decided to take the plunge I'm favoring getting a RTR as I have lost fine motor skills in my hands. I have been most impressed by the Torro brand and ultimately I think I'd like a German and Russian tank to occupy my backyard  |
