Well I am always a sucker for the next shining object from DKLM........... Apparently this is the next one. Always like the 152mm cannon so M551 Sheridan and the Starship is always on my wish list. Will be mated to the OKMO M60A3 kit that I have on the shelf. This turret is available for the TongDe M60A3 as well, but the details is somewhat lacking and the turret itself would cost more than the TongDe tank it is going on........ But fear not, if you buy the TongDe version you can also get a detail kit that will compensate for the lack of details on the TongDe body.

Well everything has been build and now have to sort out the electronics. The OEM stuff is fine for a simple tank, but the DKLM M60A2 turret has separate cupola rotation and elevation so will have to mate it to something to make everything working.

Looks great and the upper is fantastic...
I'm just not thrilled about he lower hull construction... Side mounted gearboxes don't help with hull flex. Seen posts of the torsion bar retaining blocks breaking when run on high suspension travel terrain.

Couple of the plastic swing arms are shot after one battle day so I have to upgrade to metal ones with the metal gearbox and the metal tracks as well as ball bearings. Runs much more realistic now and heavy as hell. Will see how it works out.
The upper is only good because of the upgrades from DKLM's kit. They use parts from their much more expensive custom M60A3 which I have also.
Sandy, you are right I am starting to think they are all 1/15 rather than 1/16 as I put it next to the Leo1A4 and it looks like it is from a different planet. On the otherhand, I did a google search and the M60 is quite large compares to its contemporary Leo1s and the next gen M1s.

Hi Mike - not sure about the rest of the Tongde lineup, but I had read on one of the forums that the Tongde Bradley was 1/15 scale to accommodate the drive train. Not sure how true that is but nevertheless that’s not too much of an issue and no one will ever notice on the battle field while running and hiding!

Turret functions testing video. It has servo elevation for the main gun and the cupola MG, and motor drive for the turret and cupola rotation. I need to use a small ESC to control the cupola rotation as there isn't enough motor drive port on the IBU (or any other board for that matter).

Looks awesome. Can you get an insanely bright LED in the light fixture? Ha haa

Some pics of the details in the DKLM/OKMO turret and also the detail kit on the upper of the TongDe. It is better than most Heng Longs. A good combination of RTR body and custom tank details.

I had this sheet of reflective material on both side. It changes colour depends on the viewing angle. I got it either from Dean or from Carson at DKLM. It is card board like and you just cut size and it works great.
