| Doug, the most important thing when building a battlefield will be the drainage. You need to make sure the water runs away from the field so you don't in up a major puddle, plus it will help it dry faster.
Also try not crowd it too much, you need room to maneuver, it's no fun if your bumping into everthing. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Oh well in that case how's 75 x 150 for size and drainage is not a issue also moving of dirt and what not is not a issue due to the amount of machinery on hand ...like I said any input is welcomed . Doug |

| Sounds like a nice project. Ground cover is of course important as well . Grass is hard on the tracks and battery life .The grass used on the golf courses would be ideal , but mucho dinero. The indoor fields have the advantage of loose aggregate with live scale vegetation ,like water crest . |

| As I said sky is the limit as for the ground right at this moment is my lawn but after its done will probley be some kind of fine dirt agrate of some kinds possible a mix of top soil screened with sandy loam and red clay ...it gives good drying characteristics and looks appealing also ...as for buildings and what not well I would like to build plywood structures and probly get scale live plants or dwarf pines . |

| Try checking out what other clubs did for ideas. http://canamtankclub.homestead.com/TankClubs.htmlThere doesn't seem to be a wrong or right way, depends on the style of play you like. The more open the field, the more quicker of play the battles are. The more crowed the field is, the more hide and seek type play you'll have. By the size of your land you could do a nice combo of the two. Maybe a nice forest and a village separated by farm land? _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Keep an eye out for old artificial Christmas trees. If you cut the branches down you can a bunch of mini trees. I found one last spring and ended up getting 63 trees, makes for a nice forest. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger
