ok, I just spoke to Mike at the Centre, I think we should abandon the 20th and look at seeing which of these work;

1.) Sunday, April 21st (I have a prior-scheduled event at the Sportsmans Club, I would have decision to make, there)

2.) Saturday, April 27th

3.) Sunday, April 28th

NOTE: Probably should consider, we have at least 3 days of rain forecast, here, this week, the long range for the next week isn`t great so the filed may take a while to dry out.

Lets review our options and see what suits most of us the best.

Maybe the 27th, with the 28th as a rain date ?

I would say Saturday April 27

It was only pure luck I looked at this topic, I wonder how many others will not even look in time.
I do not know if this system has the ability but it would be real nice if for battle dates etc there was a simple method of automatically sending an E mail to every member ( Just like favourites) to check out the the battle day thread. ( Yeah I know we all can make it a favourite but does every one do that)

Since the weather is looking pretty bad anyway, I would agree to moving it to the 27th also.

It's because not everyone checks the threads and how buried topics can get sometime, when there is a change in venue, it's also post front and center on the main page of our web site.

FYI

Lets go with April 27th (with the 28th as a potential weather date)

i will check the field periodically and report back, I can likely cut on the Wed., Thurs. or Fri evening before (if my vintage lawn more starts) but if someone could weed whip, that would be great.

Sounds good, we can discuss landscaping on the 27 Very Happy

Any assistance with field maintenance would be appreciated.

We cut and weed whip the field on the Thursday or Friday before the meet.

Also, this year, IMHO it would be good to cut the grass between meets, this year to keep the field looking good.

I plan on going as long as the weather plays nice.
My wife insists I go, apparently I get cranky when I miss a Battleday. Very Happy

I just want Frank to show up, I miss that crazy goofus.

...doesn't everyone else???

I'm actually excited to see all the new room, the direction they cleared has the potential to really open up the battles.

ABSOLUTELY, there is so much more to learn from him.

Having seen it first hand, I agree, the field extension is a major benefit. Right now, we have to wait for it to dry out and settle but I see it being an excellent improvement over the next month or so.

I was very pleased that they would do that for us.
