| Dirt is just fine, sand EATS tanks alive though! We need to get rid of the grass on our field, hehe... Great looking tanks & nice layout. You guys have more Allied armor in 1 picture then our entire club had out today altogether. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Enviable weather We had to settle for an indoor meet yesterday. We started the day with the outdoor field having about an inch of left over wet snow on it and the ground is like a water saturated sponge. Thinking happy thoughts about the weather for the first outdoor meet in April. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

Hi Knispel, sorry for the late reply..... We have a large broom which we use to mark the roads out with so that gets most of the loosedirt out of the way, but even so the tanks run fine on it you just need to be a bit careful but to date we have only had one set of plastic tracks break. | I took my Panzer 3 to the beach once, after 5 minutes the sand work it's way into the wheels and had three road wheels and a idler split apart. But the tracks were still good! _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| You would think a T-34 in winter cameo would look out of place in the sand, but it looks good. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Just checked out your video's ,nice. Like Stato50 says " bring out the agent orange and clear out the grass ,I am drawn to the look of your sand/dirt terrain. I know the guys here keep the grass short as possible, however I wonder if we could add some layer of sand . At our last indoor meeting I played some battle sounds in the background to add atmosphere .( it was a bit loud in the indoors ) .Watching your videos I notice you appear to be doing this as well or was that a dub over in the clip? |

| Hi Knispel, It is good out in the dirt , I dont know why but it just seems to make everything look better.......??? Yeah the background noises were dubbed over that vid but do have background noises that we can play I am in the process of putting together a cheap car stereo with the speakers mounted inside a couple of the buildings.

| Hi I'm back. I like the dirt /sand too . For the background battle sounds I down loaded from several sites and played it on my DEWALT construction radio . I liked it and we will see how the club responds at the next out door meet. BTW slow response due to my IP which kept me off the internet with a failed upgrade but assure me all is good now |
