Oh cool more WoT themed tanks.... the III/IV is rather deadly. Quite possibly a tough conversion too :p

shouldn't be too tough a conversion. it is all Pz III from the track guards down.

above that all the flat angles become angled armour(i'll jsut be adding that to the existing model).  the only remotely tough part would be the modified exhaust, and adding the 75L48. 20 years of modelling experience should also help.

I'm using a TK22 for a PZ IV, because the engine and gun are obviously more in line with that.

I'll also be adding a set of metal winter tracks(additional grousers, just like my III/IV), and it will also have the panzer grey/Dunkelbraun camo of my WoT tank.

Hey everyone!

I'm Kai, started into this hobby 2 winters ago, and did attend a few battles last summer while learning a lot. Few of you guys have met me, and thanks to Captain Action, I was able to get to the field!

Currently have:
M41 Bulldog - SLU conversion
M1A1 Abrams - current project

Haven't been able to contribute much, or make battles for this year as college is become my life now. But I'll always have a tank with me!

Post some M1A1 pictures.
What scale is it and where did you find the model, I have been looking for one for some time.

Hey Wayne, there was a thread here awhile back of it.

http://can-amrctankclub.canadian-forum.com/t106-hobby-engine-m1a1-abrams-in-time-for-memorial-day

I got it from Internet Hobbies. Most places are in the UK, but this is US. It needs a complete rehaul, but that's expected from Hobby Engine. Also the first person to make a cheap Leopard 2 as well! (Before HL)

If your patient Wayne, you could wait for Hooben to release theirs and I believe Heng Long is doing one too, but that may two years from now.

Quite honestly I'd wait. It'll come to just over $500 for me to do a decent conversion for my Abrams. Even though its only $100 for the tank.

The Hooben Abrams is supposed to be this fall as is their leopard. Heng Longs leopard is almost finished in mass production. It is released but their is a limited number of them and NO IR version??
I am thinking HL won't be doing any more IR versions or so it seems.
