| I'm actually afraid of what this tank is going to be able to do... It gives me shivers.
KV-2 turret & hull, asiatam metal lower hull, 4:1 (?) steel gearboxs, plastic tracks.

| When do you get the beast? I read recently that the KV-2 was way under powered, it would struggle climbing small inclines. Is yours going to have scale speed? _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Not sure about deliver times, let's hope though that they are as fast as Welsh is! ie, faster than Mato down the road from me And... stince... *shakes head* None of my tanks are scale speed Tigers too fast, Panzer's too slow... Sherman doesn't flip over.... _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| I can't wait to see where you put the sensors, we'll need a step ladder to hit it. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| The beast has arrived! I am VERY impressed and very overwhelmed... I don't know where to start!! It came in several small boxes and was very nicely packed, kudos to RCtank.de for that. Anyway I'll upload pics as I work along, so, firstly the unpacking. The steel 4:1's (as they are advertised) are bulletproof. 3 connecting bars hold them together as well as 2 more screws in the base. They simply do not flex. Final drive shaft has 2 ball bearings each. Wow. These, I think, are the new Taigen ones... Sprockets are metal, and idler supported by another 2 ball bearings. Wow. Only issue is that it seems the plastic track isn't a perfect mesh with the sprocket... after about 1/3 of a revolution it throws the track, its too tight. I'll see what I can do to remedy this. Hull is another example of amazing Asiatam work. Torsion bars are nice and tight. Mounting plate for the TU's is a perfect alignment. No complaints here. I'm guessing the upper hull is stock HL. The equipment bins are metal, and they've added a charging port for the battery. Neato! It has these ghastly gaps in the spots with no bins.. is that normal? The turret is a work of art. Metal track hangers, metal ladder rungs. Asiatam recoil & elevation unit inside, flash unit, & even the connector for the stock HL battle apple in the cupula. Not sure if it has en emitter in there but I'll figure it out. Has 3 working hatches; cupula, original Russian hatch, and the big oven door on the back. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Hah! Yes Stinger, it does but I do keep it on top of the pile! Unlike my 1/16 tanks while I'm totally fine ruining with wacky paint jobs & constantly falling apart, I do want to spend good time on the 'dicker max!' Hopefully I can figure out the wiring for the recoil, elevation etc... Anyway, more pics! _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Tracks are pretty tight, more than I'd like even at fully loose on the tensioner, enough to compress the front wheels more than they should be. Didn't come with spare links, so I'll be ordering some!! _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| I've settled on making it a German-capture version (hence the cupula and other minor mods, courtesy of Torro), that has been RE-captured by the Russians in time for their winter offensive. So, I primed it a hearty battle-grey, and will possibly white-wash it... any suggestions from our painters? It looks really sharp now I don't want to 'ruin' it I read someplace that simply mixing chalk & water can work! _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Wa。。。 it is beautiful... Did you do the test run... In my case, the HL track doesn't fit sprocket of metal low hull I purchased from Welsh dragon model. Especially, when you make a turn... I have to buy tamiya tracks from the ebay. |

I have to buy tamiya tracks from the ebay. Yea neither did mine. I took a file and eventually a 1/4" drill bit in a press to the sprockets and ground some material off, they fit better but not perfectly. I might do that in the future! No electronics yet, I'd like to have an SLU in there though! _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| ...accidentally bought GLOSS clear coat... tank is now shiny... g*d d*mnit! Question.. I was thinking for a worn out white-washed look, to apply spray-on white then wipe with lacquer thinner to wear it down for a severely beaten look... will the thinner eat through 3 clear coats and mess up my primer?? Considering everything is nice and cured for a day or 2. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Strato, seal it with a clear coat, then spray the white with a water-based paint. Remove what you want off by wiping it with a wet cloth or brush, if you take to much off add more white. When your happy with it seal it again, just don't use gloss! If all else fails mail it to Airbrushler! _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger
