| You might want to consider return rollers on the top to cut down the friction of the track. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

But question is where are you gona to put gear box? The back end will be fully enclosed and the gearbox will sit right in the back. I just haven't designed that yet The length of this thing will make turning on anything other than concrete be a chore, if it works at all! Time to go work on it some more |

| New pics I secured the 'outer' sides to the main hull, with blocks of wood CA'd in between plastic sheet layers. It's about an inch gap, just enough for the PnzIII tracks to fit at the ends. Also repositioned the side casemate guns higher up to match the movie tank. Raised the floor about 1-1/4 inches to allow more ground clearance. Phew! Front! Bottom-rear. Attach bolts in view. Top. Turret ring. |

| looking good looks cool what are you going to use for the gears and electronics for your side guns you might want to use the containers we use for the SLU apple then they could turn inside |

Just because one time, I went to buy a tank from a guy but declined, because I missunderstood, he said he was selling a SHERMAN tank, not a German tank. I'd like to see that set up with an SLU and IR and taken to Dannville _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| You think the electronics could handle the stepped up amperage from 3 IR emitters in parallel? One rotating turret. What if I could have a 'crew' who manned the casement guns independently? Bahahaha... When funds allow I'll probably stick the basic HL running gear into it, nothing fancy. The side guns are mounted in halves of a spray paint cap _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Any chance you could bring it to the next tank battle day so we can get a first hand look ? In the pics, it looks amazing.

| I am for sure bringing in next battle day By then I might have some painting done, and some moderate detail work. I need something to simulate about 10 billion rivets _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| They do make scale rivets....in several different scales. I think the last time I bought them, they were in packs of 100. If your'e interested, I can probably dig up the info.

| Did some detail work, added some plates & openings as observed in the movie. I spent some time watching Last Crusade and paused it a lot, sharpie marker in hand to highlight where things go! Major work this time was shortening the front end of the track assembly. It was too long / too far forward, and the angle wasn't steep enough so I just hacked & sanded them down. Looks a lot better ! _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| It still pretty much looks just like that!
It has the radio antenna & parascope that were visible in the movie now.
Engineering wise I have to design a good way to mount some gearbox's on it, and the Rx-18 & tracks and a few other parts...
Whats stumping me is a good way to make the front idler wheels adjustable, or under some spring tension so that they always exert a force forward, keeping the tracks taught..
Working on it!! _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Progress! I put a coat of grey primer on, looks sharp. Ordering a complete Pnz3 from HobbyKing, for parts (Rx-18, tracks, roadwheels). Turns out I'll only need a second set of Pnz3 tracks to equip the entire tank, so total parts cost will be under $90. Not bad. Now I need a 5x6" piece of metal to mount the drive unit's onto... _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT
