| The following three topics had been previously discussed between Stince, Stinger and I, announced at the August meet.
Membership Definition
The definition of a Can Am Member (not a forum member) is an individual who has paid there current $20.00 dues.
These dues all go directly to the Black Creek Community Association; they provide the field, parking, building & washrooms, BBQ and we run under their insurance.
We are fine with guests coming to two meets to see if they like it, but would want them to pay dues on the 3rd attendance.
I am in the process of obtaining more details on the Black Creek Community Asslciation membership systwem and will post more about it,when available
Apple (IR Receiver) Clutter
We do not want to make a lot of complex rules but have observed, and discussed that some of us have the IR receivers on tanks partially screened by hatches, crew figures and other items; while these show a lot of skill to make and enhance the displaying of the model, we request that these items be made removable, and be removed during IR battles.
The objective is to make things fair for everyone.
(Example: My current build is an early Tiger I which has the "flip up commander's hatch", I have made this so it is removable for IR but can be plugged back in place for display, it still hinges)
Tank of the Month
A "Tank of the Month" will be selected and pictures and write up posted on the club website, the objective is to post one each month, 12 months/year.
If and when you have something chosen, you will be approached to provide some info on the tank for a brief write up on it.
This should be a nice showcase for our tank builds. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Great post Glen. It's good to have points like these brought up and I'm happy that we're managing to keep things very open and casual, without and sense of strict adherence. I was reviewing some video from Saturday and there were a couple instances where my shots weren't being registered because of 'stuff'. I mean, clearly you cannot beat the power of my ninja Panzer IV, but it did slightly slow me down... I will attempt the blur out the tanks in question Hehehe On that note, my FPV camera has returned to normal and I did get some footage. Editing ongoing! _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Battle Day Schedule:One of the topics currently under discussion is having a Battle Day Schedule. The purpose of this is to have the day run more smoothly and get in more battles. If we recall to our most recent battle day, we had only one battle in the morning as oppose to two or three that we normally have. It was also noticed that very few people we helping with the field set up. This is a priority to get things going. Proposal to have a "Field Marshal" for each battle day to ensure we are doing what is necessary to keep things on schedule. A little bit of structure never hurt anyone... As we get closer to the next battle date, we will post a proposed schedule for the entire day, from set up, to putting everything away for the following battle day. We have a great bunch of guys in the club and if everyone pitches in to help, we can enhance the battle day experience for everyone. Over the next few weeks, you will have your opportunity to give any suggestions you like. Post them here on the board or forward them on in a PM to me... ty Stinger _____________________________________________ My Tanks <<== Click hereCan-Am Tank Club <<< Web site linkTiger I | King Tiger | Panther G | PzIII | PzIV | Stug IV | SturmTiger | Pershing/Howitzer | M16 Halftrack | M26 Super Pershing | M48 Patton | M41 Bulldog | Gepard | Leopard | KV-1 | KV-2 |T-34 | |

| The battleday was a good day, very friendly and informative as always. But there was only 5 battles pretty much for the whole day and that's not right. We need to find a way to get on the field more and faster. I'm not saying we need a drill sergent out there yelling all the time, but there must be a better way. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Your concerns are addressed above. I think if we have a schedule to adhere to (loosely) we will be fine. Getting the day going seems to be the biggest issue. _____________________________________________ My Tanks <<== Click hereCan-Am Tank Club <<< Web site linkTiger I | King Tiger | Panther G | PzIII | PzIV | Stug IV | SturmTiger | Pershing/Howitzer | M16 Halftrack | M26 Super Pershing | M48 Patton | M41 Bulldog | Gepard | Leopard | KV-1 | KV-2 |T-34 | |

Yes, and I made a point of being there before 8:30, an hour early, to make sure that the Black Creek Centre doors were open, BBQ was out, brought 6 tables out, trailer was open and the trees and buildings were set out, on, or at he edge of the field for set up; so a lot of stuff was done that normally has not been done prior to 9:30. The intent was to maximize our time in the field, but that was not the result. I did not set the field mainly because I thought others should set it so we get a variety of placement ideas, if one person sets it all the time, we tend to get the same thing each time. I don't mind getting there early doing those things because, unlike a lot of us, I live very close to the field, can spend the whole day there and wake up too early most days anyway; as can be seen by the time of this post and I am on vacation and I am still up this early I will do the same thing for the next meet and hopefully it will translate into maximizing our time in the field. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Thanks, Doug
On my current Taigen Tiger I Build (Early Version) I have made the hatch removable. It can be in place and functional for display, `unplugged` for IR.
This is easy at the build stage, not so much on the finished model. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

policies and rules about the battles are good for everyone as they affect everyone that comes out and battles their tanks but lets not turn this into something that is not needed. |

I have been watching this rule to remove stuff from blocking the recievers with some interest. I don't want to rock the boat either but I am not one to keep my opinion to myself either. I enjoy my days but all this is bringing up a question - What is Fair? and who are we being Fair too? Blocking a reciever on purpose is not fair to others I agree but their are other advantages people have and use at the field. Maybe all members should come up with and vote on some kind of club standard that we should work towards in our builds. We are growing as a club and to be quite honest as much as we are out their to have fun and fool around nothing will ruin it quicker than someone getting upset over the placement of an apple or a crew member glued to the top of a tank, the use of a high power emitter or a tweaked apple. We can make the standards and ask people to work towards them as they build their fleet, That is all we can do. |

| Hi Curtis,
We have be discussing this the last few months and are make plan to form a set of Club rules which we will have in place for the beginning of next years season.
We are still evaluating things over, as we still want to stress fun and fairness. We don't want to make everything strict and competitive.
So if any members have any have any suggest it would me greatly appreciated. We want the club and hobby to grow for everyone. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

I don't want to see us get at tight as I think some other clubs are, like to have someone drive here a long ways and be told they can't play because of some minor thing. We are not as competitive, and I think that is good, but I believe there should be a level of fairness. Otherwise, I could jam a Tiger or Panther rear deck with Panzer Grenadiers and be invincible from behind, but I am not going to do that. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| From when things started, 3 years ago; Rules of War:CAN-AM 10 Commandments:
1) Thou shalt have fun!
2) Thou shalt not cheat, nor shalt thou whine if thou doest loose!
3) Thou shalt not drive thine tank within 2' of another tank. Thou shalt not crash thine tank into another. Respect thine neighbor's property.
4) Thou shalt not walk on the battlefield during combat.
5) Thou shalt drive thine tank off the field once thou is destroyed unless the scenario states otherwise.
6) Thou shalt not use obscene profanity.
7) Thou shalt not intentionally damage the terrain.
Thou shalt help in set up and tear down of the field terrain if thou doest participate in a Battleday.
9) Thou shalt purchase thine yearly $20 membership if thou doest plan to attend CAN-AM events more than once. The membership goes to support the Black Creek Community Center whose land we use and toilets we desecrate.
10) Tho shalt remember to have fun and laugh! _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| In posting what was said with regards to apple blocking, I believe we are moving forward towards a standard while at the same time trying not to over regulate something we enjoy.
I also don't believe anyone in this club is doing anything to purposely create an unfair advantage and any builds that were done, were done so without any malicious intent involved.
Blocking of the apple can create a significant advantage to one team member over another and that is why it was brought up. At this point, no one has brought to my attention any other things that also may be creating a significant unfair advantage.
We don't want to create a large debate over this and should anything else come up we can certainly discuss it and make changes as necessary.
I do find that the people in this club are more than willing to keep the fun in our hobby and as represented by Doug's comments that he is more that willing to make changes to keep it fun for everyone.
If there are in fact any additional items of concern, I might suggest they be brought up at the next Battle day in September during the noon time break were they can be discussed as a group, in person.

| I'm not arguing but I still have a point nothing on our field can take out a tiger from a frontal shot and its not a big to do for the mod to the hatch. Actually it about 2 minutes of work to create a hatch that is battle damaged |
