| Not shaping up good boys, my site is showing 60% friday and Sat. with a massive drop in temp. but Sunday is clear. I know the powers that be will be watching and make the call later in the week.... _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." | I wasn't going to post this until tomorrow and we have a better idea of what is going on with the forecast, but now it has been brought up it deserves and answer;
Current plan is to cut the field to beat the forecast rain for Friday.
Then it could go a few ways;
Weather relents and we play on Sat.
We might have to regroup for a Sunday rain date.
We postpone until the following Sat.
I have no idea at this point how it will go at this point, we just have to prep the field, in case.
We are checking forecasts several times/day, this is easy for me to do at work, weather can be a key component of out operations, there.
Please watch the Web Site and this forum for updates. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| The powers that would be is Glen and I.
We ALWAYS watch the weather right up to 10 days before each meet so that we can keep people informed, especially those people coming from a distance.
Have no fear about notice. We guarantee a minimum of 24 hours notice but we normally do 48 hours notice. Expect to see a posting late tomorrow night.
Keep and eye on the status button on the web site and also for a notice in the forums.

Heh, trust me when I say so that 'mud' is happy for a tank when it's wet dirt, MUD that is water with a bit of sand or dirt IN IT is a different story and might wreck your day _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| One of the considerations Stinger and I have to take into account is we need two good days.
Obviously, the meet day, but also a day or two before, we need a good day to cut the grass on the field and trim the weeds, etc. so the field is usable.
So, due to the forecast, we will prepare the field this evening since Friday doesn't look good.
If we get the field done tonight, it at least leaves our options open for this weekend, weather permitting.
Scheduling should be posted, tonight, once we see the forecasts, later today. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Here is the call that you have been waiting for and it is as you have expected.
As of 9:00 pm on Thurs. night, there is still a call for 90% chance of rain on Sat.
With that looming over the field, the decision to move the Battle date to Sunday the 22nd has been made. A similar posting will also be listed on the Web site and in our monthly post on Kijiji,
The weather for Sunday looks great and we hope to see everyone out.
This month should prove to be very exciting as we have lots of new stuff to be presented as well as there are new field upgrades too.
Please remember to be at the battlefield for 9:00 am to help set up, so we can get the battles underway.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

| If you guys ever get stranded without a drive, you might want to post that on the forums as there is a lot of people who pass Hamilton on their way to the field. You might be able to catch a ride.

| We had .97 of an inch of rain last night, some still falling, more on the way.
We made the right call.
The field was dry and the ground was hard on Thurs. so it should run off, I plan to check it later this aft. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Judging by my yard, (5 minutes drive from the field), Strato would be able to sail his RC "Emden" there today http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS_Emden_(1908)As I said, I will check over there later, today. The field was in good shape before the rain and I think it shouls drain well, once the rain quits. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

Hopefully it is not that deep. Actually, the field ground was quite solid on Thurs. when Stinger and I prepared the field. The ditches on the field are not just props, they are functional. So I am confident that the field will be OK. A couple days of steady, light rain would be worse because it would soak it, a lot of this heavy rain over a short time period just flows off. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."
