| Planning ahead for a winter project, want to build really good runner with hardly any track issues. I've always liked the KV and I don't have a short barrel tank.
So,these questions is for those who have KV's.
How do you find the driving?
Are they good climbers? How is the turning on the grass?
How are the idlers?

| They're ok I guess... I've never had the 'stock' hull, but they do seem to be pretty robust. The track and sprocket work pretty well together, haven't had any real issues with mine. Lots of ground contact is good. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| I have a stock HL and a torsion bar Taigen and they are both great runners. Never had any problem with throwing tracks. The Taigen has to be slowed down via radio as it is just too fast for the scale. |

| Both the Heng Long and The Taigen are great tanks. Me personally I suggest the HL KV-1 just as the cost is soooo much better and really when they are running you can't tell the difference. Tracks are not an issue with the KV. Though with the KV I would go with steel tracks and 480 motors just for the added torque when needed. The KV is also getting a lot of add on metal parts being thrown into the market because it is becoming more popular. Alternative to Tiger I guess.
Only thing I don't like about the KV is the lack of camo variations. |

| Don't buy Russian ........buy German then we can both shoot at Dean ...and besides Russian tanks take like 2 days to warm up were as the German tanks just get on the throttle no warm up or break in required |

| ANYWAY, Derek, the turret speed is pretty quick on them too. I think my KV-2 has the fastest turret of any tank I run... and thats all stock HL upper bits.
It's been HL's best (or second best, sort of a tie with the Panther) runner since forever. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| The KV is topping my list for a winter project. But I should do my half track first though. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger
