what exactly is Faraday well, let me tell you. A new Radio/control system that will replace both the RX18 and or Taigen MFU.
Why you say?
This is mainly for the BB tank ( IR will be coming ) So basicly it is a full set up that offers Bovington 131 sounds on the controller, Yeah real tiger sounds on a BB tank that is 100% plug and play.
The switches control firing engines etc and unlike HL or Taigen the controls are proportional. More info will come shortly

It will be more effective than most of what is out there, but I haven't gotten that far. I do have the pricing but customs and the US dollar will dictate the price more so than usual.

Do you mean this one!!!  Very Happy

Faraday is coming Walter10

It sounds nice, but if the IR version isn't Tamiya compatible (which I hope it is), it won't matter how may bells and whistles it has.
Anyone who is in this hobby for battling is just going to end up gutting it anyway.

Now for the people who like the airsoft tanks and crashing around the backyard, this will be perfect for them!

here is a detail picture of the radio
http://illiweb.com/fa/pbucket.gif and take a peek at the figure while your there. The figures coming out are actually quite good, US Sherman crew to start then others will follow.

The Faraday unit is meant for BB and less than amateur people that want to upgrade. It is the first truly ( I repeat TRULY ) plug and play upgrade system for the HL tanks. All you do is unplug the reciever board and plug in Faraday.
I think this will be awesome. I have some PDF comparison files and I am trying to load them on my site for download but I use Go Daddy and they are less than co-0operative at times.

With the separate firing switches, these would be nice if you can get them to work with the Clark boards.  Wink

Derek,

You can move the the left stick functions (i.e. MG, headlight, Engine Start/Stop and Main Gun firing) off to buttons with the clark board already. I think Curtis has been selling the Turnigy radio with that set-up and it is just a matter of mapping the right stick functions to the switches.

I was not aware that could be done, very cool!

Do you think that it could be done to Spektrum radios? That's all I have.

I only know how to do it if you are using the Er9X firmware. I don't know if Curtis tried it on a Spektrum radio, but the interface should be the same.

Here is the video I shot when I put in the servo recoil and programming for the buttons for Dean's T34 a while ago:

https://youtu.be/IbeDNTA9sVQ

Basically what I did was programmed the buttons to have the same channel settings as if you are moving the left sticks for the MG/Light/Engine Start/Stop and Firing and take it off the left stick with trim/offset adjustment while keeping the elevation and rotation on the left stick.

I hated the multi-function left stick and all my tanks have this settings now (I used the same basic profile and just copy them over and then individualize them).

Mike.

I was so frustrated early in the spring with having all those functions on the left stick. I would turn my turret and the damn gun would fire, the elevation would go when I didn't want it to...drove me nuts! Now thanks to Michael it works awesome! If anyone can figure it out Michael can!  Laughing

I have my Clark set up like my SLUs, so I'm use to it, but using switches would be nice. I'll have to play around with mine and see if I can get working.

I spent a little bit of time trying to figure out if anyone else had replaced the flap / gear channel on a Spektrum radio with a dial control for precise servo elevation and didn't turn up much. That'd be all I want; switching radio systems would be a big deal right now, what with 7 receivers installed.

This unit will NOT work with a Clark. It has it's own controller/MFU/RX18 whatever you want to call it.
That is the part of the beauty of this system, It is a complete replacement for BB tanks.
IR will follow but right now it is the low cost BB market that really really needs something good to help get tankers on board.

I agree!!!  thumbs up

Most of us started out with the BB tanks and a system like this should bring more people in, which is better for hobby.

You should be able to do that. I have programmed the Er9X on my Turnigy so that the MG/Lights/Engine is on toggle switches, and then firing is on a trigger switch and the volume is control via a pot/dial control using RC Aussie's Viper volume control. The AUX power from Clark controls an Red LED (IR - This is my Leo) on another channel/switch. As long as the servo is continuous you should be able to map it to a pot/dial control. You will need more than 4 channels and in my case even more than 6 channels though.
