The Shermans are all Easy 8's right ? The brief shot of the Tiger I doesn't look too bad....... Which reminds me I still have to watch Stalingrad on BluRay.
Before I was a RC tank addict I was a DVD/BluRay/HD-DVD(!) addict.

That looked like a good movie too. Is it dubbed in English or have subtitles?

Has both. Dolbby Digital 5.1 for both Russian (Original) and English (Dub) and subtitles in English. The English dub wasn't even that bad. I have to double check to make sure it is available in Russian also. It didn't help that it opens up with a scene from a present day earth quake zone. I only saw 5 minutes of it so far. Also in 3D as well.

Hurry up and watch Stalingrad Mike so I can borrow it!
I withhold judgement on Fury till I see it. Anything serious with Shia Labeouf in it scares me...
And there better be lots of 131 in it!!!

This is totally inaccurate! They used my KV-1 not even a German tank! Come on!

man that was stupid but at least the real movie was great.
i believe that each of the 5 shermans that was used in that movie were all different, each with their own name Fury, Matador, Lucy Sue, Old Phyllis, and Murder Inc. I think if i ever buy a sherman i will have to call it Bite Me lol

Hey Dean, don't you get paid royalties if they use your KV?
Russel, the sequel is never as good as the first one.

I noticed that too!! They had a 105mm, an M4A1, M4A3 75, Fury was an M4A3E8, and another I wasn't sure on.
Really a mish-mash unit I wasn't sure if the Americans would be so un-uniform in April 1945 like that. They had E3's coming out their butts...

Saw it tonight and being interested in tanks I am always looking out for accuracies in these movies but this one pretty well takes the prize. Even the opening sequence where only the silhouette can be seen they were pretty good, Panzer IV with turret armour, a Panther and of course the various Shermans.
Someone did their homework, and I guess getting Bovington's Tiger to be filmed clearly showed that they made an effort to ensure accuracy. They also made an effort to show turret flying off tanks after getting direct hits which again is not something you see in movies with tanks often.
The only thing I didn't like but they kinda need it to make the climax of the movie is why 300 Germans would rush a disabled Sherman in the middle of the road. Couple of PanzerFaust at night fall would have done them in.

Heh yea Mike that was the one thing I didn't find to make much sense BUTTTT who knows what crazy things half-trained SS troops would do at that time.

The Smithsonian channel showed " Tanks of Fury " an interesting followup to the movie. You can't see it on their web site but as usual you tube has it .
