| I don't know if every one has heard about this product, but it's a system that is designed as a simple plug and play adapter for Heng Long tankers to allow them to battle with Tamiya compatible equipped Tanks at a low cost. It's design to allow anyone with an IR Heng Long tank to show up at our club days and within seconds allow them to take their tank out onto the battlefield and have a FUN battle with anyone. It's a greater starter for some to get involved. I just bought one on Ebay for $34.00 just to try it, even though I don't have a tank to put it in yet. I thought it would be handy to have at battle day in case any one new shows up with an IR Heng Long or use as a cheap loaner tank. If any one has an IR Heng Long let me know and we can try it out at the next battle day. The company that sells them in Australia is having free shipping worldwide until the end of April if anyone is interested in getting one. http://rctanksaustralia.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=17_58To bad I found the site after I bought one off Ebay, I could of save a few boucks. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Wow, this system looks great and for a great price. Finally an entry level system that keeps the tank price below $200. |

| I just had an idea while I was in the bathroom, because that's where you always get your best ideas! The Mako would be an easy and cheap way to make a bunker with a turret. All you would need is the Mako unit, HL apple and emitter, the RX-18 board and receiver, a turret motor and ring, battery, and wires and stuff. All easy to get and affordable. Some thing this could really add to the battle field. You could allow visitors to use it or the first person out. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| That's exactly what I was thinking Glen, but instead of digging a hole and i was think of putting in base, then it could be around. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| I received my Mako unit in the mail today from Australia, took about 2 week, regular post. Not bad! I got the Mako with the ATRC Motor Control, which allow speed reduction when it gets hit. The system is quite small when compare to the size of the RX-18. It would be a good system to use if you scratch build a smaller tank, like a Stuart or maybe an armour car. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| I just did a quick test with the Mako unit. I quickly plugged it into an RX-18 board with just a receiver board, speaker and battery plugged in. This little unit works nice!! I had no problem trading shots with my SLU equipped Panzer III. It does have the same crappy HL sounds though, but there is a faint explosion sound on the last shot, then the sound cuts out until you restart. I'll try to post a video this weekend. I think this unit could open some possibilities on the battlefield. - Armoured cars / Targets / Bunkers / smaller Tanks _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| I am interested in seeing how these work, it might make my Stug more fun to use, once and a while. With the DBC, one hit and it is a turret-less pillbox that can't turn. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| I had one in my Jagdpanther at the last Battleday. It had no problem hitting other tanks, but it had a hard time receiving hits. I think the chrome rings on the apple might of effected it in the bright sun we had that day. It seems to work better in my basement. I might have to experiment with it more, maybe take the rings off and paint them a flat black.
