paint job was in the neighborhood of 12 to 15 hours give or take and I include weathering in that.
hardest part believe it or not was mixing the white glue, drywall paste and pigment to get the mud on the lower half and wheels. I had to chip it off several times because when it dried cracks would appear or the edges would peel up. their is a sweet spot though when the mix is perfect it dries hard as plastic and just won't come off. If I can I'll post a detail of the mud. In these pics it doesn't show but it looks good in my opinion

Did you use heavier springs in the front to offset the extra mass that wasmoved forwards compared to the KV-1 base? Or shift the battery?

totally gutted the inside and rearranged everything. This is the Taigen metal lower and has torsion bars so it holds the weight very very nicely. when its on the ground running there is a slight lean to the left because of battery weight but I was thinking the real thing would have done that anyway as the gun is slightly left of center. runs excellent through the grass. actually made a video of it crushing some real tall stuff. the Taigen base with upgraded motors and steel gears makes a huge difference over the HL stuff
