Has anyone used an ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning their plastic sprues/peices, etc... prior to priming/painting? Heck do you even wash your model pieces prior?

It's been a long long time since I have done any real model work and I was wondering as many videos I've looked at recently show washing/scrubbing sprues before doing anything (and by long time I mean 10+ years) .

Good idea , save a lot of mess , drinking kind would get costly , unless I had my mouth under the sprues while washing , on second thought maybe I'll try it ,
