| Scout's Panzer 4 is back on the prowl again.   After stripping a gear last year, the kid has replaced the old gearboxes with new steel ones. Has a lot more toque to get through some of the longer grass now. By herself with some guidance from me, she removed the old ones, pulled pinion gears off the motors to be put on new ones before installing them on the new gearboxes. Then solder on new wires (her favourite part) before installing the new gearboxes.   Not bad for a 12 year old girl!  It's always great when I have an opportunity to teach my kids something they don't normally learn in school.

| That's not bad news. It's good news. Grats on having your daughter be a hands on person that will actually have some skills that are fairly useful for everyday handyman (er handy-person?) jobs! |

| Just in case some of you new guys were wondering "Scout" is Derek's daughter nickname. The first time I met her it struck me she looked like "Scout" from one of my favourite all time movies "To Kill A Mockingbird" and the nickname just kinda stuck...

| Is it bad that all I can think of in the images showing Scout working is how organized and uncluttered that workbench is? WTF! I'd kill for that much space right now...  |

They also have similar personalities and neither one of like to wear dress too.

Jarlath don't let those pictures fool you. That was the only clean spot in the garage. I made sure to keep the organized mess out of the shots.  My main hobby bench is in the basement, and it currently looks like the aftermath of Kursk.  (parts every where)
