A start to another tank that i've been wanting to build. A "Stug III F" Hell i even had an opportunity to save on shipping since my dad was heading to the UK to see family and today he came back and i got my convertion kit

 

too bad its the Stug III C/D 

To make thing worst on their web site (which i will leave nameless at this time) shows both the C/D and the F as "out of stock". I've sent them an email so lets see what happens next

I wanted the Stug III F and there is too many differences to mod it so i dont think i'll be building this. i have not got a reply yet from that company . . . . . i dont know. i may just sell this to get my money back

ok alittle update on this project. the kit is on its way back to england (the cheapest way) and they said when they get this on they will send out the right one, reimburse me the shipping cost. after i get it then i may say what website it is or if it take 2 months with nothing i will bash the hell out of that web sit 

so good news. I have a donor tank



all it cost me was a $50 light bar for a RC truck. open it up to find plastic gears, the crappy board that is airsoft only, no speaker or smoker. not going to do much to it anytime soon i may add. still have some other tank projects to finish for others

Airbrushler wants your Pz III chassis

i don't think i'll get that one Russell's been waiting a long time for it...lol

i may need the tan coloured panzer 3 top so i can get the right hatches on the back end.

so i sent back that kit on june 29 and the right one came today. woohoo one step closer to getting this tank built. . . . then i took a step back. its missing pieces.  email sent so let's see what happens next. on a plus i got some extra parts for some other kit

little to report on this build. still waiting for the missing pieces (little hope they will come now)
I got the upper chassis cut up and the main stug part fitting well but i found a problem. I now need low profile gear boxes. i know i can order them from https://www.rctank.de/StuG-III-51-PRO-low-steel-gearboxes-360-17500-rpm-motors-short-axles but i would like to know if there is any other places i can get them from or cheaper

I am also looking for some reference pics of the inside of heng long stug upper
