| good day tankers Glen and myself have moved our field of battle about 40 ft from our old location due to field prep and Black creeks request to move because of the location of there skating rink has to be relocated so the decison was made to go beside the old fenced play court this again makes it easy to cut grass in prep for battle hope to see you all soon thanks good tanking |

This is critical for our continued operation. Cutting the present field is very labour intensive and is tough on our limited number of "over the hill" workers (me especially). The grass grows quicker and thickest at the old site, compounding the work; it is also the last part of the property to dry. We will be able to use the lawn tractor and the towed grass sweeper/collector, which is available to us, on this section which will lessen the work and improve the quality of the field prep. As with any changes, there are pros and cons. It must be kept in mind that we will lose the old location anyway due to the need to relocate the rink area, the folks at the Black Creek Centre like us and want us to stay and have been very cooperative in offering the use of the lawn tractor. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Good question. Sounds like you need a lot more POWs for the manual work. |

| Just curious, but is there any thought on using paved area (asphalt or otherwise) and use artificial turf as grass/field ? No need to maintain that in any significant way. It will be flat land but you can use dirt pile as small hills.
Just a thought. |

| The plan for the time being is to keep the field as is, i.e. no digging.
It is not perfectly flat, there are subtle elevation changes.
The difficulty for us with "features" is that they complicate cutting and all our current cutters are 60+ with various issues. Cutting around the roads, hills and ditches easily doubles the time/workload. Personally, I know this is very tough on my bad knee.
We did eye up the fenced area. The artificial turf is an interesting idea.
However, there would be a cost and handling and storing it. Something to consider down the road, though.
The new area will not cost us anything and will be much easier and quicker to maintain, and I think we can do a better job of preparing it than the other location.
As we get into it further, we can reassess our options. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

Got one the other night when we were looking over the old location, it is not longer with us, having died an ugly death. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Sorry, I see no option but to cancel the June 23rd meet due to the weather forecast.
The site I use that has a good accuracy record has the following chances of precipitation;
Friday Night 70%
Saturday 90%
Sunday 70% _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."
