| Id does need a fair bit of work on it (And you have HUGE images BTW...)
A couple broken handles (on hatches). Missing axle caps. Need to open the main commander's hatch (For IR Receiver).
It does have the good gearboxes, even if you need to solder on the motor leads... |

| Ya i dont know why imgur made the images huge, on my phone right now they are proper size so dont know whats going on there.
Ya i have 3 of the long axle caps but none of the smaller ones sadly everything i recieved is in the pictures i did get an extra set of motors which have leads on them. As for the hatch im going to have to figure out how to attach the hatch so i can come or or have it easily removable for the IR as there is just a post on the side to glue it to. I dont mind a few missing or broken parts as i plan to do damage on it anyway, missing skirts, skirt damage, weathering etc... Just need to get her painted and get her running. A question i have is the flash system in the barrel is that how its supposed to be or is it supposed to be a transparent piece of plastic? |

| Venom Batteries usually have a multiple connector to allow for use in a wide variety of applications. |

| That goes for both Lipo and NiMH versions. Good quality batteries. |

Or n my case I order from HK's USA warehouse and have it shipped to my buddy in the USA $50USD = Free shipping to both USA and Canada from the US Warehouse, however if to Canada, you will get dinged for customs (FedEx adds at least $10 brokerage fees on top of duty). |

Tamiya DMD's supposedly have a built in Low-Voltage Cutoff for major DMD functions, but it is set at just shy of 6V and is meant for NiCd &NiMH. The ancillary current draws will drain a battery to nada, which is not good for Lipos... Even @6V a 2 cell Lipo is really hurting. If you do use Lipo's get a voltage alarm, cheap and loud. |

| From a Tamiya website.... - Quote :
- Q. Can 8.4V battery packs be used?
A. The product warranty is based on use with a 7.2V battery pack. Using an 8.4V battery pack is possible, but in this case there will be a lower current and the current through the BEC will also be reduced. Please do not use battery packs of 8.5V and above since they may damage the DMD Control Unit and lead to accidents.
A 2Cell Lipo has a max voltage of 8.4V (4.2V per cell). So Lipo is GTG! As is a 7 Cell NiMH (Just bigger).... |

Lipo's are listed at their nominal voltage (3.7V per cell). So a 2 cell lipo nominally is 7.4V and is how it is marketed. |

| I have two Tamiya tanks with different MF and DMD combos. My Panther cannot run on NiMh for some reason. Says it right in the instructions. So I use LiPos in that one. In my Pershing I've run NiMh batteries from the start. You may want to consult the building instructions. One way or another LiPo's should work no problem. | Update time. Just got my mfu/fmd in the mail, everything looks good on it. Now i am looking for a speaker on here before i go off to AAF and buy one, also for a y connector for the mfu/dmd to the battery. Once i have those in theory i should be ready to out everything together once its back from paint. More progress photos coming later today. |

| Good job, the tracks look a bit loose and in need of tightening. Enjoy the new toy. |

| That is a beautiful paint job BTW. As for tracks... Those are really shiny! Need to run them through the dirt and mud a bit... Tamiya rotation rings are an ongoing issue from what I have read, and yours is a cobbled together version to use the Porsche turret. Are you getting the clicking from the turret clutch slipping (when you reach the rotation limit)? I know that one option is to superglue the clutch mechanism and prevent slippage. Make sure your wires from the turret are not loose/binding on anything. Maybe even use small zip-ties to make a "single" wire bundle to the lower hull. BTW I hate all you guys with such good artistic skills... I can do mechanical and electrical all over the place, but you artists always steal the show! |
